After more than 40 years in the corporate world as a Vice President of Operations, Constance A. Stegall made a life-changing decision — to dedicate her career to helping others grow emotionally, strengthen relationships, and find hope during life’s most difficult transitions.

In 1997, Constance moved to Cape Coral, Florida, where she began her journey toward becoming a therapist. She earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University in Miami. During her internships, she worked at a Major Medical Center in Miami and later at Hope Hospice of Southwest Florida, providing compassionate bereavement counseling for individuals, families, and groups coping with loss.

Her work was recognized by the Lee County Counselors’ Association, which awarded her a Certificate of Appreciation for outstanding service in local schools and the community.

Throughout her career, Constance has served in numerous leadership and educational roles, including:

  • Appearing on WINK-TV after 9/11 to discuss “Grief and Loss.”
  • Presenting professional seminars such as “Coping with Terrorism” and “Working with People with Disabilities.” “Domestic Violence”
  • Volunteering with the American Red Cross and facilitating Support Networks for Military Families.

Today, Constance continues her mission to help others through her private practice, Center for Life Transitions, where she combines professional expertise with warmth, empathy, and a deep understanding of human resilience. She brings the same empathy, professionalism, and experience to her private practice.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida and New York, Constance Stegall provides compassionate, confidential counseling grounded in respect, collaboration, and individualized care.

Her approach is eclectic—drawing from multiple therapeutic models to best fit each client’s goals and personality. She believes that while many people face similar challenges, the path to healing is deeply personal. Constance’s role is to help clients identify problems, develop insight, and find effective solutions that foster emotional stability and growth.

Constance also serves as a Certified Parenting Instructor, Group Facilitator for the Huntington’s Disease Association of Southwest Florida, and an Approved Continuing Education Instructor for Florida’s Chapter 491 (Social Workers, Mental Health Counselors, and Marriage & Family Therapists).
